My Story

I’m Hayley, a Scottish artist based in Kirkcaldy, Fife.   My love of art began at school where I achieved a Higher pass in Art and Art History.   Although creativity was always part of me, in the years that followed I produced nothing more than the occasional sketch.  

During the Covid lockdown when my Beauty business was temporarily closed, I felt a strong desire to reconnect with art.   Struggling with anxiety, I began pebble painting which became a welcome outlet.   This hobby escalated into a small business creating personalised designs which were soon being posted all over the world!   As my designs became more intricate, I began to wonder what I may be capable of creating on a larger scale.   It was around that time that I graduated to canvas, the beginning of an incredible journey.

In March 2023 I transitioned to becoming a full time artist, a huge leap into the unknown.   Around the same time I was browsing a Fine Art Gallery in Glasgow and after speaking with the owner, was invited to create two large paintings to be displayed in the gallery!   To my surprise, one sold within a week and the other a few months later.   This experience was a turning point, giving me the confidence to believe in my ability and recognise my potential.   I will always be grateful for that opportunity.

Within the first year my artwork was represented in four galleries across Scotland and I have since sold over 250 paintings privately, including many commissioned pieces.
